From the beginning of June till the end of October of the year 2000, the world exposition EXPO 2000 will take place in Hannover, Germany. Its aim: To show solutions how we can live together on earth in the next millenium. For this reason EXPO shall have - additionally to the traditional pavillons of countries and a cultural program - a completely new element: worldwide projects.
Nongovernmental organisations, associations, institutions, but also small firms, which have developed a solution for problems of mankind are asked to apply at EXPO 2000. The only condition: The solution must be a model, which can be applied all over the world.
If the international jury has accepted a project, there are several possibilities to include it into EXPO 2000:
in all cases on the official CD ROM and in the printet catalouge
further - however limited possibilities of representation:
a nation can use it in its pavillon the project might become a part of the exhibition called ”themepark”
For Muslims all over the world this is a great chance to show what Islam can contribute so that we can live together in peace and find solutions e.g. for environment, development, social problems, nutrition, health, knowledge, the future of work, mobility, energy and basic needs for humankind on earth.
The Central Council of Muslims in Germany herewith urges Muslims all over the world, to apply with the provided questionnaires - and possibly more extensive material - at their local German embassy.
